About Get Tricked.

Gambit's Live Adult Magic Show. <no nudity, just adult language and alcohol (I felt that needed to be added)

It all started when…

Gambit wanted to create a Live show for Peoria Illinois that brought magic into the Public eye and tossed away the public understanding of magicians.

He says the public tends to get the wrong idea of what a magician is and he wants to correct that vision. Gambit Tags his show with the phrase "Not your ordinary MAGIC show" as a way to give the audience a hint of what the show actually is. You won’t be seeing a grown man in a cape producing rabbits from hats, but introducing you to a new paradigm of magic.

Get Tricked is a unique show in the realm of magic. As it is almost entirely Improvised. The show is divided into 2 sections.

The first section: Is a Guest performer that brings their talents and expertise of magic and a nice variety to the show. This element alone makes each Episode its own unique show.

The second section: This is Gambits performance. This is where things get UNUSUAL! His act is in many ways off the cuff as it were. He packs stuff and likes to see what happens. <Find out more about Gambit in the About Gambit Section>

After the show there are 2 special sections reserved for special guests.

Special Section 1: VIP Close-up show. This is a closeup show for any VIP ticket holders of the night after the main show. All performers and VIP relax, have a drink or two and enjoy the best and most underground close up magic around.

Special Section 2: Extreme VIP Magic Lesson. Where Gambit teaches a trick or two to the Extreme VIP Holders.

Both VIP sections Get to enjoy the show from the front row, and the Extreme VIPrs get 2 drinks each from the Gambit.

Don’t forget your wristband!!

One interesting thing about the Show is the wristband. It is a silicone based wristband that does more than look stylish. It allows the wearer to get a discount into the show. The discount is usually about 20% off the ticket price.

Where can you get a Wristband? The only ways of getting a wristband is

  1. Attend a Get Trick Show

    1. If they are available at the time

  2. Know Gambit or have Met him, he gave one to you.

  3. Use your friends

    1. If your friend has gone to a show, ask for theirs.

How does one use the wristband to get the discount?

Simple. You can either. Send Gambit a photo of you wearing the wristband, and he’ll respond with a special code created only for you to use at the check out when purchasing your ticket online.

or

Show up to the show wearing it, then show it to the person at the door to purchase your ticket at the door.

tHE USE OF pHOTOGRAPHY / vIDEO

Gambit is completely fine with audience members taking photos of the show… However, there is one stipulation. The obvious. No flash photography.

Any person seen filming large parts of the show will be asked to delete the footage.

Do not live stream any part of the show on any social media platforms. Especially with apps like Snapchat. Short videos are ok every now and again are ok.

But generally, we would rather you watch the show with your eyes and not through the screen of your phone. As it makes the show more fun for you and for use as performers. Have you ever performed in front of only cameras before? I have. and it’s really awkward. =) Let’s not put people through that.

Food and Drinks…

It is encouraged to have some food and drinks before/during the show. Gambit wants the show to be a little more relaxed and fun for everyone. Also, it looks better when he’s on stage with a drink in his hand and everyone else has one as well. Remember he’s not an alcoholic. He’s a Hobbyist.

The show itself is meant to be a fun and relaxed time of drinks, and entertainment. So far each Get Tricked show has sold out, which makes us all extremely excited for the next one. So keep up to date with the events page for the next scheduled shows. And we hope to see you at the next show.

Don’t be a Dick!

We at Get Tricked, love to share our passion for entertaining and demonstrating the impossible for you amazing Guests to the show. However! We also have Zero Tolerance for Assholes. Mistreat a performer, you’ll be shamed and removed from the event with no refund.

Mistreat a person working at Get Tricked, This includes Door workers, Security, Bar and waitstaff, you’ll be shamed and removed from the show with no refund.

Mistreat others at the show and being disruptive / disrespectful to anyone. You’ll be shamed and removed from the show without a refund.

At Get Tricked, performers must follow Gambit’s 3 BIG rules of being a public performer.

  1. No Religious Material (No material that would be for or against religion)

  2. No Sports Material (No material that is for or against any specific teams)

  3. No Political Materiel. (No material for or against political ideology, beliefs opinions etc)

The world is divided enough as it is. Gambit believes that shows are for everyone and will not allow others to force their opinions and beliefs on the audience. He believes that Shows should allow Guests to be able to step away from all the Overly Political and Social BS that’s thrown at you everyday and enjoy a  great show!!!

That being said. The same rules apply to those at a Get Tricked Show. As soon as you walk into the theater, you have become a part of the cast in this show and must try to hold some semblance of professionalism. Outside, tell everyone your opinions. Inside, Treat others with respect and dignity. Don’t divide others by talking about such trivial things. If you seem persistent, let others know your views. You will be removed and will not be allowed a refund.

Don’t be a Dick!
